Before adding a Rent Schedule, make sure you’ve completed the following sections in the abstraction workflow:
Location Details
Lease Parties
Lease Details

Step 1: Add Rent Schedule
Click "Add Rent Schedule" to begin.
2. Enter the Due Date, Type, and Amount.
Step 2: Set Frequency
By default, rent payments are set to Monthly, but you can change this as needed.
To update the frequency:
Click the drop-down arrow.
2. Select the appropriate option:
If your lease follows a different schedule (e.g., Semi-Annual payments in Feb & Aug), you can create a custom payment period.
Step 3: Set Due Date
Click the drop-down arrow.
Select whether the rent is due at the Start or End of the period.
Step 4 (Optional): Set Proration
If needed, choose how to prorate rent:
Actual Days
30/360
Manual Entry
Step 5: Set Payee
By default, the payee is the Counterparty/Landlord listed in the Lease Parties section.
To change the payee:
Click the drop-down arrow.
Select an existing payee from your Leasecake account or create a new one.
Click "ADD" once done.
Step 6: Add More Rent Line Items (If Needed)
Click "Add" or "Auto Add" to include additional rent entries.
Follow the same steps for each new line item.
Step 7: Submit the Rent Schedule
Once ready, you can continue to review the final stage before submitting your Lease Abstraction.
Review your Rent Schedule and select Submit.
That's it! You can now go to the Location to review, add, or modify the rent schedule.
