How to reset your password and set up 2 factor authentication

Updated over 7 months ago

1) Accepting the Invite

When you are first invited to your Leasecake account, you will receive an email with a link to set up your password. Click 'Set up my Leasecake account' to get started.

2) Setting Up a Password

Leasecake requires the password be at least 12 characters. Click 'Submit'.

3) Forgot Password

If you've forgotten your password and cannot log in, select 'Forgot Password' on the login screen or click here.

Next, confirm the email address associated with your Leasecake user account (this is where the reset password link will go). Click 'Reset Password'.

Find the 'Reset Password Notification' in your email inbox. Click 'Reset Password'.

4) Multi-Factor Authentication (2FA)

To enhance your login security, you can enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your account. This means you'll need to enter a verification code sent to your phone number each time you log in. Setting up MFA is optional and can be done individually by each user. If you prefer not to set it up right now, click 'Setup Later.' You'll be reminded to set it up the next time you log in.

5) Changing Your Password

If you'd like to change your password, select your name in the bottom left corner > My Profile.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the area to change your password. Click Save once done.

6) Mobile App

The mobile app uses the same username and password as the desktop version.
