How to pull Journal Entries, Amortization Schedules, Disclosure Reports and more out of Leasecake

Leasecake generates the following lease accounting reports:

  1. Monthly Rent Expense (for both Income and Expense leases) (learn more about this report)

  2. ASC 840 Amortization Schedule

  3. ASC 842 Amortization Schedule

  4. ASC 842 Journal Entries

  5. ASC 842 Disclosure Contribution

  6. ASC 842 Roll forward (Lease Liability Short Term) (learn more about this report)

  7. ASC 842 Roll forward (Lease Liability Long Term) (learn more about this report)

  8. ASC 842 Roll forward (Right Of Use Asset) (learn more about this report)

Each of these reports can be customized to include active or inactive leases, specific date ranges, and lease measurements. Plus, you can pull these reports at the individual location, asset, company, or parent company level. All reports can be viewed in Leasecake or exported to .CVS file.

How to Pull a Report

Once you have created a Lease Measurement, you can generate Amortization Schedules, Journal Entries, and Disclosure Reports.

Step 1)

Navigate to the Location, Asset, Company, or Parent Company you want to pull the report for. Select the Lease Accounting tab.

Step 2)

Select the Accounting Report you want to see, choose the lease, measurement period, and date range. As you adjust these settings, Leasecake will automatically generate your report.

If you'd like to see the specific lease details that apply to this report, click 'View Lease Details'.

Step 3)

To export your report, select the orange Export button.

Step 4)

You can also export a report of all your ASC 842 locations and details by running a Location level report. From the Locations page, click the orange Export button and start the ASC 842 export.

This will email you a .zip file of all your ASC 842 locations with the accompanying details.
