How To Use Cakebot To Add a New Lease, Amendment, Or Location
Step 1: Go to 'Abstraction' on the menu bar.
Select 'Abstraction' from the bottom your menu bar.
Step 2: Select Add or Update Lease
Select '+ Add Lease' or 'Update Lease' from the top right of your screen. If you're adding a new lease or amendment, select the associated location.
If you are adding a new location to your account, please email support@leasecake.com first to update your payment plan.
Step 3: Upload your files
Upload any base leases or amendments that you wish to abstract. Cakebot can read multiple documents at once so we recommend uploading all applicable leases at this stage.
Cakebot will begin scanning your documents. Select Continue to get started with the abstraction. *Throughout this entire process, Cakebot will automatically save your work as you go, you can leave this project and return later.
Step 4: Begin abstracting critical details
These sections will guide you through the abstraction process. Fill out as many fields as you can, the more information you add to your locations, the better your reporting will be. Any sections that have a red * are required to fill out before proceeding.
If you're working with an existing location, you will see the location data already populated from the location. If you overwrite any data or add inputs to blank fields, it will update the location in Leasecake.
As you go through each section for abstraction, you will notice the Cakebot icon on some fields. Select the Cakebot icon to have Cakebot assist you with abstraction. Cakebot will scan your document and look for the answer. Verify the answer in the original source language and then type it into the field.
You can toggle between documents at the top of your screen. Cakebot will provide answers based on the selected document (lease or amendment).
Step 5: Make sure all required fields are completed
Continue with the abstraction process, using Cakebot when available. At a minimum, you must fill out the required fields. Select Continue at the bottom of your screen once finished.
Step 6: Review the abstraction
You will see a final summary of all the fields you have abstracted. If you need to make a correction or add something else, select Back to Form. If the fields are correct, select Submit. *You can always return to this location to make edits if you notice a mistake later on.
Step 7: Submit the abstraction
Submit the location. You can view the new location or see the updates made to the location, or continue to add more leases/locations.
Any data fields or documents uploaded to the location will be attached to the location. π
